Well there mailman, Do you know his dad?? I doubt it. So maybe you should just quit assuming things and putting him down because of rumors you heard. Yes, I know his Dad very well. Your comments in here are a joke and you sure seem jealous of the whole situation. You obviously don't know the whole ...

To add a little background on Joey Anderson's family: As someone else stated, his family is from Duluth. His father was a teammate of Robb Stauber's on Denfeld's 1986 State Tournament Team that finished 3rd. If my memory is correct, Anderson was captain of that team. I'm told the Anderson family co...

I think Chychrun was drafted into the USHL entry draft. Pastujov, if not returning to Honeybaked may be off to Ontario with another top 98 or two. These two names along with Lindgren are truly in the top 5 or 6 98s in the country. Joey not yet even though he's just a (red shirt) 8th grader. I heard...

Did you ever consider that the family decided to have their son commit to a school at age 14/15 so the other programs would stop contacting them? Typically these early commitments are 50/50 to end up at the school they chose. It isn't a big deal in the world of college basketball, so I don't know w...

Re: Joey Anderson
He's a very talented young player and has tons of potential, but committing to a college at age 14 is silly. A verbal commitment 4-5 years ahead of time is pretty meaningless. His parents should know better. The parents, as usual, are probably the ones behind it.[/quote ]It might be a ploy to get o...

You don't have to work for the WHL to know this information. It's not privellaged info. A Google works just fine
Thanks for the reply.

What say you scorekeeper; true or not ? Scorekeeper = Scorekeeper My identity is well known to both Karl and Lee and a good many posters. Others can take responsibility for their own posts. I stand 100% behind mine. Your id isn't known to me. Are you the user of these other nicks, and do you work f...

Re: Dub
Let's not forget the lengthy posts Scorekeeper made during the season regarding a certain kid that chose to jump to the W after one year of HS hockey. He gave us the history of the kid's youth career as he jumped from association to association and then from school to school. Score is most probably...

Well, the boys from Minnesota made it to the championship game. This Sunday 6:00 pm the Portland Winterhawks play Halifax for the Memorial Cup. Whether you think it is right to leave Minnesota High School hockey to play in juniors or not, Bittner and Iverson [and Carruth] are playing in one of the ...

Thanks.MNHockeyFan wrote:Very true for a few private schools, notably HM and BSM. But other private schools have consistently weak hockey programs with only the very occasional star player. Most privates fall somewhere in between.Mailman wrote:While the private schools are the opposite; more star players than not.

Here a few more for SlapShot: Vanelli -Tonka Snuggerud - Ep Wahl - Wayzata So with Thie, Hurley, and Warner, that makes at least 6 transfers into the Lake Conference teams in the past 2 years... I said the three schools he named not all five. Of cuorse it happens, but relative frequency is the key....

Is this kid still going to get his chance (whatever that means), without the huge benefit that going to the camp provides ? Yes. You want to know who didn't make that camp? Bo Pieper Jake Bischoff Blake Heinrich Dom Toninato Jared Thomas Adam Johnson Kyle Osterberg Jake Randolph Charlie Lindgren Na...

Don't put words in my mouth My sincerest apologies. :) This is the part of bafata88's comments I strongly disagree with... I am horribly jaded about this stuff because I believe if your son is not related to a former NHLer, your son is already a step behind those kids who are, regardless of talent,...

The last couple of posters are saying what livinthedream wants to hear, but it's not what he/she needs to hear. Are there below average players in D1? Of course there are. For there to be an average player in D1, there have to be below average and above average players in D1. Are there average D1 p...

Livin.. From my observations, there is some level of arbitrariness on who gets the Division 1 opportunities. Who the family knows definitely helps a number of players. There are plenty of parents (mostly fathers) who market their sons every chance they get to whoever in the hockey world will listen...

I prefer less privates in AA. No way do I watch as much tourney with Hill/Benilde/StThomas in it every year. Honestly people have been reduced to rooting for Edina. I'd love to have three tourneys. Let the AA and Private champs play a week later. Or not. I think they should be forced to play by thi...

Way I've seen it, levels top to bottoms would go, based on hockey play: USHL NAHL/Candian Junior A equals more or less. Tier 3 One thing about the CMJ A League, is that there is lot of differences between the leagues/teams. Some leagues are good, some not, same with teams. I.e, the Canadian teams I...
