Players cut from Elite League

If a Junior was invited to tryout for Elite League and was cut do they get automatically placed on a Elite D League roster or do they have to tryout if they want to play in D League?

Same questions as above, but for a Sophomore.

Could it be that some of the players not selected were recently in front of the USA guys (a couple of weeks ago) and they want to see some different players?

Not saying, just asking.

High Perf 15's by High School

New comments in (). Thanks for the info. The addition of Calengor and Cunningham to Maple Grove would have put them at 5 players. I will try and figure out the goalies and add them to the list. Not sure about the kids that are going to private school and some of these will more than likely opt out ...

District 3 is down to 28 skaters. 10 Defense and 18 Forwards. 21 Skaters Cut after 3 days. Not surprising that all the AA players from Wayzata and Osseo made it along with the 3 high school players. How many F's, D's and Goalies move on? 20 Players so I assume 18 skaters and 2 goalies. So I would a...

I was there and I am a little biased because I don't think the AA kids were better than some of the A kids but I don't want to turn this into a whining session. I trust that the evaluators did a fair job and had an open mind when evaluating the players. But, it is only human nature to support kids t...

Re: Drive to the Gold

We live 10 minutes from Edina. We drive 45 minutes to get to Blaine (with some practices smack in the middle of rush hour. ACK.) We made a conscious choice in picking the Gold for our kid after looking at all options. The Gold IS the future! BTW...we'll figure in gas costs as just another hockey &q...

District 3 tryouts are a little crazy. I did not count but there must be around 50 kids on the ice scrimmaging. The defense players get a lot more playing time than forwards. There are a lot of Wayzata kids there and I would guess they are almost 25% of the kids trying out since we have both AA and ...

I do not think it was as much of a failure as others felt it was. In District 3 the league play was competitive at the A level. The bantam AA teams in District 3 I don't think cared for it very much and it did not make much sense as they destroyed most of the A teams. I think the AA teams may need t...

This is funny! It seems to me that many programs let the coach of each level make these decisions.
