I'm sure they won't/can't move up because their best players are Blades players they pick up for this tournament so they would loose them and couldn't compete.

Okay, HockeyDad, here's my humble opinion on Terry's programs. He's worth every penny we pay to him because he is a very good hockey instructor, but, more importantly, he is a life coach. My son skates in Terry's breakfast club program and he works with Terry one-on-one in off-ice shooting sessions...

That is an easy one to answer O-town.

Age 5 up north.

Re: numbers and what to do with them

So the solution for many is to drag the top programs down so they aren't as strong. There's no perfect answer. Places like Wayzata, Edina, and White Bear Lake should be applauded for supporting hockey. Obviously finances prohibit many other communities from having similar participation numbers. Eve...

From the beginning of the season, many of the '98 Fire parents were quick to acknowledge that the Fire team could be beaten by a good association team, which has occasionally proven to be the case. As M&G stated, they are 10 and 11 year old boys, and, as we all know from our kids' teams, you ne...

Fortunately for them, they had another CHOICE! Going bar down, you miss the whole point and are always looking for trouble or writing angry things about a group of 10 year old boys. ?????? I have no problem with the Fire. All I'm saying is that if they wanted to play in the tournament, I'm sure all...

Xcel-You assume that the talent level in Edina is the same this year over last. Edina was much deeper at the squirt level and should have had a couple of A teams last year. This year it is not nearly as deep. You need to look at it year by year if you make the decision to go with 2 A's. Some years ...

Re: Regions

Roseau 12 - Crookston 3. If I was coaching that Crookston team I would simply say no to taking the 3 spot at regions. If I was the Eveleth coach I would be doing the same thing for VFW state. Just an opinion. Great point on local businesses helping out. Northwoods, I think you make a great point. D...

Joe Boy. I agree with you on the having fun but the fact is that people all over the cities are claiming to have the next greatest developmental tool or team that will get your kid to play at the next level. I have a hard time taking kids $ and not telling them the truth. If Daddy has dreams of mak...

My two cents on AAA. If you are a great player there will be people willing to give you the break so you can play at the top level. If you are an average player there will be people willing to take your $ to let you play. If you are a below average player you can still play so called AAA but you ha...

Respect. . .for what. Yes, they have some good players, but why take a compliment of 15 skaters and only skate 8-10? We all know why. Why not let those kids you're never going to let see the ice in a game play B1 and go with 10 skaters? Otherwise, step up as a coach and work to improve everyone. Se...

Rochester 4 Rogers 2 Looked like rogers got tired..imagine that. Would agree that their top 8-9 skaters are the equal of anyones but what a long year for those third liners. Bantam A Rogers 3 Wayzata 3 Rogers did not lose anyone to HS. Nobody has given these boys a chance in any ranking. They will be a top 10 team. Could be mistaken but thought they had at least 1 trying out for HS that didn't play. They play 2 or 3 periods ? I left after 2 and they were leading 2-1 .....

Anyone know where to find the Meltdown schedules? I checked the Showcasehockey.com and didn't find anything. Did see that the league teams were to get the schedules March 17. * Boys AAA Open - April 17-20, 2008 * Boys AAA Invite - April 24-27, 2008 * Girls AAA Open - April 24-27, 2008 http://showca...
