Rau will get Mr. Hockey (Gopher recruit) but Cameransi is a very close second IMO (maybe UMD counts since its a U of M school?). Like Daly too but rare for it to go to a defenseman although he's possibly the best in the state.

Thanks Karl - look forward every week for your rankings. Appreciate all the thought that goes into it.

HM gets #1 right now but IMO they're soft - I think out of the cluster at the top I have to go with Wayzata. EP and Edina close seconds and Tonka is looking impressively strong lately. Not impressed with BSM. Duluth East could be the one to win it all in St. Paul though. The next month and a half sh...

bb's scouting report: Forwards - advantage to AHA Defense - advantage to Hill Goaltending - large advantage to Hill Power Play - large advantage to Hill Penalty Kill - large advantage to Hill Bench depth - advantage Hill Home-ice - advantage AHA Final Score: Hill - 6 AHA - 2 Great points blue but I...

I had always been a strong supporter of the Fire as an alternative for good players from associations either without A teams or with really weak programs. This was before it gotten taken over by the Orange Monster though. Fire can't go to Nationals - end of story - no state championship to play for....

EP wins this one but HM will give them a good game. EP has the stronger offense and goalie while HM dominates on defense with exception of EP's Molenaar. Should be fun to watch.

That's what they said about Tonka last year (myself included) and Edina the year before that...everyone has a shot at State at this point in the season. Teams with less "star" talent have a better shot because they play better as a team when it counts.

St. Louis Park tournament would be my choice. Good teams, consecutive days, so much cheaper. I've been to it the last couple years and it sure beats driving down to St. Paul.

Third times a charm! BSM play EP physical and you can win this one. I'll take BSM over EP 3-2. Better watch out for Gerdes - very impressive goals in the last two games.

Agree with vapor. If players have chemistry, they should play on the same line because that's when magic happens. They trust their line mates and so many of these kids have played together since they were young. Splitting them up often just makes two lines weaker. Coaches that try to run 4 lines at ...

How many kids showed up? Were there a lot of non blades kids there? I wonder if other regions have a machine/blades like rivalry that goes on and prevents the best kids from representing the region? Good one Master Recruiter! Have to go with Benilde. I think the Burnsville game showed Hill's weaknesses. They were overrated last year and I think it will be even more obvious this year. Their "stars" are not as good as they think although I wouldn't underestimate Hill's defense.
